When you make a purchase, we process your name, email, telephone number, billing address, any delivery address, and order and payment information. We use this information to process your order, deliver the book or digital content, send your receipt and handle returns or complaints. Consent to immediate digital delivery is stored with the order.

When you contact us, we process the information you send so that we can reply. When you sign up for the newsletter, we use your name and email to send it to you. You can unsubscribe using the link in the email or by contacting us.

Technical information, including your IP address and log information, may be processed to keep the website and shop running, prevent misuse and identify faults.

Legal basis for processing

We process orders to fulfil the purchase agreement (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation). Bookkeeping is based on a legal obligation (point (c)). Operations, security and handling general enquiries are based on our legitimate interests (point (f)). The newsletter is sent on the basis of your consent (point (a)), which you can withdraw without affecting earlier lawful processing.

The information marked as required at checkout is necessary to complete and deliver your order. If you do not provide it, we cannot complete the purchase.

Recipients

Necessary information is processed by providers of payments, shipping, hosting, email, newsletters and backups. Payments are processed through the shop’s payment solution; card details are entered on the payment provider’s payment page. Shipping providers receive the information needed to deliver the parcel. Information may also be disclosed to an accountant, bookkeeping provider and authorities where there is a lawful basis.

Contact us if you would like more information about the specific providers and how they process information.

Retention and protection

Accounting records are retained for 5 years from the end of the financial year to which they relate. Other information is retained for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including delivery, support, complaints and documenting legal claims.

Transfers to the website are protected with HTTPS. Access to administration is controlled through user accounts and permissions, and backups are made to protect against data loss.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and object to processing, to the extent that the rules give you these rights. Erasure may be limited by obligations such as bookkeeping requirements. Contact martin@thorborg.dk. You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.
